Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Station - A Brief

Located in the heart of the famed garden city which has now earned the prestigious sobriquet of India’s own Silicon Valley, the KSR Bengaluru station has emerged as a major tourist friendly hub, organically tied up with the growth and aspirations of this bustling metropolis. Through corridors of time, the KSR Bengaluru Station   has also kept up the pace with the growth of the city and now evolved as an ‘A1’ category station boasting of world class facilities for a complete travel and tourism experience.

This station is located at a distance of 139 km from Mysuru, 261 km from Tirupati, 347 km from Chennai, 348 km from Mangalore, 573 km from Hyderabad, 514 km from Kochi and 595 km from Goa.

Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Station enjoys the unique advantage of being at stone’s throw to the major BMTC and KSRTC intercity and interstate bus terminal as well as the upcoming Metro station affording it an easy access to various parts of the city. Apart from experiencing over 2.5 lakhs footfalls per day and running 111 pairs of passenger and express trains, It has a Customer Facilitation Centre for the convenience of passengers and three Tourist Facilitation Centres, one each of KSTDC, TTDC and IRCTC.

Adorned by a sprawling garden, spacious concourse and circulating areas, KSR Bengaluru station boasts of  some unique passenger amenities like round the clock May I Help You counter for foreign tourists, battery opperated cart, two fully equipped AC waiting room, AC relaxation lounge,  free emergency medical care centre, ultra deluxe and deluxe AC retiring room, modern signage, LED information display board, station navigation system, Wi-Fi facility, lifts and escalators,  CCTV surveillance  systems  and baggage screening systems etc.

To enrich the travel experience of the people and as a mark of promoting and preserving the rich cultural legacy of Indian Railways, KSR Bengaluru station is home to a Rail Gallery, a Rail Art Gallery as well as a Rail Cartoon Gallery open to free viewer ship. In keeping with times and technological advances towards eco-friendly solutions, KSR Bengaluru station has a 10 Lakh litre water recycling plant and solar heaters
